FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your investment philosophy?

We believe there is a case to utilize both passive and active management. We strive to use passive and low cost strategies in areas where the markets are efficient. We utilize active strategies where there is less market efficiency and an opportunity for a manager to outperform. A few of the areas where the market is not as efficient and managers can add value are foreign debt markets and private real estate.

Who is your typical client?

Our typical client is a nonprofit, endowment, or high net-worth individual who needs a firm that can provide active management and the different strategies that can increase cashflow from their investments.

For boards we provide a holistic planning, education, and active investment management so that they can continue to focus on their organization’s mission and community while we focus on the markets.

For individuals we provide an actively managed options trading strategies that adds a different type of diversification through the use of derivatives and short market exposure. This is an asset class that many don’t have in their traditional portfolios and asset allocation. These strategies are great when paired with retirement assets and traditional investment strategies.

We are not a good fit for those that believe passive only investment strategies and the lowest fees possible are the only factors to consider when investing in the market. We manage long-term, strategic investment plans for our clients. Potential clients who want to chase returns over the short-run who are not committed to the time it takes for long-term strategies to run their course are not a good fit for us.

We are not a suitable manager for everybody. We will thoroughly explore the potential for our relationship before we begin work with any clients.

Client account statements and their performance information are generated by the broker-dealer/clearing firm and are believed to be accurate however Regula Aurea cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness.
